this post is one from the gnome applet. it’s not really any different from any other post, but i can do so without using a web browser, which can be very useful when it comes to quick posts of things that come up during the working day..

i have been working away leaning myself some python development to enable me to write applications for gnome the desktop that i love.  as it turns out, it’s pretty much a slog.  python is an awesome language to learn, fast development, but gtk+ and gnome development has some quirks which take some getting used to.
